Spring Awakening - Yoga & Meditation Retreat

Spring is the symbol of awakening life. This retreat is a wonderful new start after an extraordinary year. We fill our lungs with fresh air, leave old energy and the winter behind, revitalize the body and awaken our minds to the new. In daily classes and workshops, we explore dynamic as well as gentle yoga practices, indulge in different sequences and postures from simple to advanced, and dive deep into the practice. With breathing exercises, guided meditations and mindfulness ceremonies, we find time to reflect on the essentials and recharge energy and strength for the new cycle.

The spring awakening motivates us to change our habits, to be inspired, to set new intentions and to blossom together with nature.

The Program

The program starts on Thursday April 7th at 5.30pm with the first yoga session (arrival possible from 3.00pm) and ends after lunch on Sunday April 10th at 2.00pm.

We start every morning with guided meditations and yogic breath work that cleanses the body on the physical and energetic level and awakens our spirits. After breakfast we then flow through dynamic Vinyasa Yoga sequences that strengthen the body and leave us feel energized and balanced. We build the sequences step-by-step learning about the alignment that allows the energies in our body to flow freely and release great healing potential.

In the afternoons we spend time on specific asanas and practices in a workshop format or indulge in the healing practices of soothing Yin Yoga for deep tissue release and dive deep into guided meditation (Yoga Nidra).

Classes are held in English unless ALL the participants speak German.

The Place

The seminar house Taubenblau is located in Stozenhagen, Brandenburg, only one hour outside of Berlin. Surrounded by nature only a few meters away from the Oder canal with its small harbor and the village.

After extensive reconstructions in 2016, the historical house offers spacious bedrooms on three floors. There are private and communal bathrooms, a beautiful gallery to linger in, a spacious 65 square meter yoga room, a multifunctional dining and co-working area and a comfortable living. A special highlight is a large terrace with a pergola which makes it enjoyable even when it rains. Here you can sit, eat, practice yoga or spend time with others.

History Taubenblau is an unusual name for a retreat location. It goes back to the old pigeon house that is located in the terraced garden. You can already feel that this place looks back on a vivid history. Around 1900 the Taubenblau was owned by the Brüning family, who ran a restaurant there. Later it housed a small grocery and hardware store in today's seminar room and on the wooden gallery. In GDR times, it became a super market. In the past, the basement of the house even once housed a bakery, smokehouse and laundry. Today it is home to many retreats, wokrshops and seminars dedicated to mindfulness, relaxation and self-development.

The Accommodation

The bedrooms range from spaciously luxurious to small and practical. All rooms are conceptually well thought out, bright and friendly. There are different possibilities of sharing rooms with friends/partners, other retreat participants or having your private space. We will take the current situation into careful consideration and find the best solution. Please feel free to ask us, we are happy to assist you in choosing the right room for your needs.

You will have access to the whole house, the beautifully designed seminar room, the gardens and the sun deck. Mats and blocks for Yoga will be available.

If you are searching for nature, tranquility, a modern space for creativity, with comfort and style, you will love it here. We are close to nature, real neighbours and swimming and walking possibilities.

The Food

The kitchen manager Freya and her team cook with heart and passion - modern and sophisticated combined with culinary influences from all over the world. A sense of vacation and relaxation fills the the kitchen - flooded with light, with a modern design and a beautiful floor mosaic.

We serve vegetarian and vegan dishes three times a day, prepared mostly from local ingredients. In addition, we will always offer lactose free, gluten free and sugar free options for every need. Herbal teas and water will be available throughout the whole day for everyone.

How to get there

By train
There is a direct train connection from Berlin Gesundbrunnen to Angermünde every hour. It takes approximately 50 minutes. From Angermünde station take the bus 463 to Stolzenhagen turnaroundstop and go to the Ernst-Thälmannstraße 9. We recommend to buy a train ticket till Lunow for 10 Euro and this is including the bus ticket. Please let us know when you will arrive upon booking and we will happily organize your transfer.
